Position Summary We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized Accounts Executive to support the Finance & Accounts function in managing day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliances, inventory accounting, banking transactions, ERP operations, financial reporting, and audit support. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping- Record day-to-day accounting transactions accurately in the ERP system. Post sales invoices, purchase invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and journal vouchers. Book routine business expenses and ensure proper ledger allocation. Maintain accurate books of accounts and subsidiary ledgers. Perform regular reconciliation of customer, vendor, bank, and general ledger accounts. Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing.
2. GST & TDS Compliance- Prepare and maintain data for GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other applicable returns). Verify Input Tax Credit (ITC) and reconcile GST data with GSTR-2B. Ensure timely accounting and compliance of GST transactions. Deduct TDS as per applicable Income Tax provisions. Prepare TDS workings and assist in filing quarterly TDS returns. Reconcile TDS receivable and payable balances. Maintain statutory compliance records and documentation.
3. Banking & Payment Operations- Prepare vendor payment proposals and payment schedules. Process online bank payments through NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and other banking channels. Monitor customer collections and vendor payments. Perform periodic Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS). Coordinate with banks for routine banking activities.
4. Inventory & Stores Accounting -Support inventory accounting and stock reconciliation activities. Verify inventory transactions recorded in the ERP system. Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Production, and Dispatch departments. Assist in inventory valuation and reconciliation. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Ensure accurate accounting of inventory movements.
5. Fixed Asset & Inventory Verification -Assist management in conducting periodic and annual Fixed Asset (FA) verification. Support physical verification of inventories including Raw Materials, Work-inProgress (WIP), Finished Goods, Consumables, and Stores. Reconcile physical stock and fixed assets with ERP records and identify discrepancies. Prepare verification reports and support corrective actions. Coordinate annual stock-taking and fixed asset verification activities.
6. Sales, Purchase & Logistics Documentation -Verify purchase invoices with Purchase Orders and Goods Receipt Notes (GRN). Verify sales invoices before dispatch. Generate E-Way Bills and maintain dispatch documentation. Maintain proper filing of statutory and commercial documents.
7. Month-End & Year-End Financial Closing -Assist in monthly and annual financial closing activities. Prepare provisions, accruals, and adjustment entries. Prepare schedules for debtors, creditors, inventory, fixed assets, expenses, and other balance sheet accounts. Perform ledger scrutiny and account reconciliations. Assist in preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. Support year-end inventory valuation and closing activities.
8. Statutory & Internal Audit Support- Assist in preparation of schedules and supporting documents for Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, GST Audit, and Tax Audit. Coordinate with auditors and provide timely information and documentation. Assist in resolving audit observations and queries. Support implementation of audit recommendations. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal financial controls (IFC), and company SOPs. Maintain audit-ready documentation throughout the financial year.
9. Management Information System (MIS) Assist the Finance Manager in preparing: Weekly Sales Reports. Collection & Outstanding Reports. Accounts Receivable & Payable Ageing Reports. Cash Flow Reports. Inventory Reports. Expense Analysis Reports. Budget vs Actual Reports. Other periodic management reports as required.
10. ERP & Business Central Operations -Perform accounting transactions through the ERP system. Maintain master data related to customers, vendors, inventory, and chart of accounts. Ensure accurate recording of inventory and financial transactions in the ERP. Support ERP implementation, process improvements, and data validation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly preferred. Candidates having experience with Business Central or any reputed ERP software.
11. General Finance & Administrative Support -Coordinate effectively with cross-functional departments including Purchase, Stores, Production, Sales, Logistics, and HR. Maintain proper accounting records and documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures. Assist senior finance personnel in special assignments and improvement initiatives. Perform any other finance and accounting responsibilities assigned by the management.
Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and financial accounting. Practical understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances. Knowledge of inventory accounting and stock reconciliation. Experience in bank reconciliation and payment processing. Working knowledge of E-Way Bill generation. Good understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions, data analysis, and reporting). Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or any reputed ERP software. Behavioral Competencies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Educational Qualification -Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com.) – Mandatory. M.Com. / CA Inter (Appearing) will be an added advantage.
Experience 1–3 years of experience in Finance & Accounts. Prior experience in a manufacturing company will be preferred.
