Junior Accountant

We are Urgently Hiring Junior Accountant for a Freight Forwarding Company at Andheri (East), Mumbai:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join the accounts team at our Andheri office. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, experience in the logistics or freight forwarding sector (preferred), and fluent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ensure proper documentation.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Prepare and process invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.

• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.

• Coordinate with operations and customer service teams for billing accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.).

• Liaise with auditors and support audit processes.

• Communicate with clients and vendors regarding payment follow-ups and queries.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in Accounting.

• Knowledge of Tally ERP / Zoho Books / or similar accounting software.

• Understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.

• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, etc.).

• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a freight forwarding or logistics company.

• Familiarity with documentation like Bill of Lading, D/O, HBL, etc.

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2nd Saturdays off & rest Saturday Half Day) Timings: 09:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Salary: Up to Rs. 25K Per Month
