Junior Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant Executive to support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in basic accounting functions, reconciliations, and accounting software, with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and record day-to-day accounting transactions including expenses, sales, and purchases

• Prepare and monitor expense statements and supporting documentation

• Perform bank reconciliation statements on a regular basis

• Handle vendor reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies, if any

• Maintain accurate records of invoices, bills, and vouchers

• Assist in preparing monthly reports and basic MIS as required

• Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records

• Support senior accounts staff in audits and other finance-related activities

• Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards

• Should have basic knowledge of TDS

• Should have basic knowledge of GST

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals

• Practical experience in:

  • Expense accounting

  • Sales and purchase entries

  • Bank reconciliation

  • Vendor reconciliation

• Proficiency in Tally

• Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word

• Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent

• 1–2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles
