General Accounting Data Analyst

Analyst I, GBS ATR - NA General Accounting Job Description Job Summary:•• The Analyst I, GBS ATR - NA General Accounting will support financial operations through data-driven insights, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in general accounting processes for North America. This role involves leveraging business intelligence tools and data expertise to contribute to robust financial reporting and analysis. Job Responsibilities:•• • Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement within general accounting processes. • Develop and maintain data solutions and dashboards using Microsoft Power Business Intelligence to visualize key financial metrics and performance indicators. • Assist in data engineering tasks, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various financial systems. • Contribute to the implementation and adherence of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity across enterprise data. • Provide SQL support for data querying and manipulation, extracting specific data sets for ad-hoc analysis and reporting. • Support the overall data management strategy for general accounting, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security. • Collaborate with finance and IT teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. • Prepare and present data visualization reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Job Qualifications:•• • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. • Proven experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tools, particularly Microsoft Power Business Intelligence. • Strong proficiency in Data Analysis, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts and practices. • Understanding of Data Governance and Data Management principles. • Experience in developing Data Solutions and Data Visualization. • Exposure to Enterprise Data environments and structures. • Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
