Functional Role (Job Description) Lead the design and governance of the Global IT Platform Recovery model, ensuring accurate allocation and recovery of cloud, SaaS, and shared IT costs across business units and regions. Drive financial transparency, cost accountability, and optimization, aligning recovery with consumption and business benefit while maintaining strong governance and audit compliance. Essential Desirable Education Background Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce or relevant field. MBA, CA or CMA Work Experience Typically requires 10-12 years relevant experience Analytical in their approach and are proactive individuals who can work independently Key Responsibilities 1. IT Platform Recovery Model • Own the end-to-end recovery model (cloud, SaaS, infrastructure) • Define cost pools, allocation drivers, and recovery logic • Ensure alignment to consumption and business usage 2. Financial Performance & Insights • Analyze Actual vs Budget vs Forecast and recovery variances • Provide insights on cloud overspend, SaaS utilization, and recovery gaps • Support MBR/QBR reporting 3. Stakeholder Management • Partner with CIO organization, platform owners, and regional finance teams • Act as single point of contact for IT recovery topics • Align stakeholders on methodology, data, and timelines 4. Cost Optimization • Provide oversight of cloud and SaaS consumption • Identify and drive cost savings and efficiency opportunities • Support optimization of licensing and platform utilization Key Deliverables • Monthly IT recovery reporting and reconciliations • Accurate cost allocation across business units • Executive insights on recovery performance and risks • Audit-ready recovery model documentation Key Performance Parameters • 10–12 years in IT Finance / FP&A / cost recovery • Experience with cloud (Azure/AWS), SaaS and shared services models • Exposure to global matrix organizations Technical Skills • Financial modelling and cost allocation expertise • Strong understanding of IT cost structures and consumption models • Advanced Excel, Power BI; SAP preferred Behavioral Skills • Strong stakeholder management at senior level • Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented • Strong governance and control mindset Key Performance Indicators • 99% accuracy of cost recovery • Reduction in under-recovery and misallocation gaps • Improved visibility of cloud/platform spend • Timely reporting • Delivery of cost optimization benefits Essential Knowledge and Analytical Skills MS Word/Excel/Outlook Fluent in business English; both written and verbal communication skills essential Managerial and Soft Skills Open to work in Flexible Shifts & Hybrid Work Environment Extended hours may be required in meet deadlines.
