Financial Accounting Associate About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accounting Associate In this role, you will: Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Required Qualifications: 6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant with strong exposure to Accounting standards (IFRS/IndAS) Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft suite and AI concepts/usage Job Expectations: 1) Ensure timely review, reconciliation, and accounting of all Gratuity Trust bank account transactions, maintaining complete accuracy and adherence to established controls. 2) Support the end-to-end accounting and reporting processes for the Gratuity Trust, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. 3) Coordinate monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation activities, ensuring timely completion, appropriate documentation, and resolution of outstanding reconciling items. 4) Support periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconciliation of results to accounting records and asset registers. 5) Provide support in execution and monitoring of STORM-related activities relating to India Finance team's vendors, ensuring compliance with applicable governance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
