About the Role
We are a fast-growing edtech company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to manage day-to-day finance operations, compliance, and payroll. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and play a key role in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support monthly book closure by reviewing accounts, validating ledger entries, identifying discrepancies, and escalating issues before MIS finalization
Assist in MIS preparation by compiling and reconciling financial data
Manage monthly payroll processing, including variable pay and contractor payouts
Handle GST compliance activities, including preparation and support for GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filings
Oversee TDS payments, professional tax, and maintain the statutory compliance calendar
Track vendor invoices, initiate payments, and perform reconciliations
Manage SaaS-related invoices and payments (e.g., AWS, OpenAI, etc.)
Maintain and reconcile credit card statements and coordinate bank statement sharing with the accounting team
Prepare expense provisions, advance salary schedules, and Full & Final (FnF) settlements
Maintain asset register and calculate depreciation
Support data compilation for investor reporting, due diligence, and legal requirements
Eligibility Criteria
2–4 years of experience in finance operations or accounting roles
CA Inter / CMA Inter / B.Com with relevant experience
Strong working knowledge of Tally, GST portal, and TDS compliance
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliations and reporting
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing responsibilities independently
Prior experience in a startup or edtech environment is preferred but not mandatory
Job Details:
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Working Days: 6 days a week (with one optional Work From Home day)
Compensation:
Package: ₹7–8 LPA (tentative)
