Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to manage day-to-day financial operations at Vallaham. The role involves handling GST compliance, income tax,
invoicing, reconciliations, and preparing financial reports, while ensuring timely updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
1. GST & Compliance
● Handle GST filings, returns, and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements
● Maintain accurate records of input/output tax and support audits
● Stay updated on changes in GST regulations and implement accordingly
2. Income Tax
● Assist in income tax computations, filings, and related documentation
● Coordinate with auditors/consultants for tax compliance and submissions
3. Invoicing & Receivables
● Raise accurate and timely invoices to clients
● Track receivables and follow up for payments
● Maintain proper documentation for all billing activities
4. Accounts & Reconciliation
● Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, vendor accounts, and client accounts
Ensure books are updated and discrepancies are resolved promptly
● Maintain clean and audit-ready financial records
5. Financial Reporting
● Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) statements
● Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
● Generate MIS reports and provide insights on financial performance
6. Reporting & Communication
● Provide regular financial updates and summaries to the Senior Leadership Team
● Highlight cash flow status, outstanding receivables, and key financial insights
7. Vendor & Expense Management
● Process vendor payments and track payables
● Verify bills, expenses, and supporting documents
● Ensure adherence to internal financial controls
8. Systems & Process Improvement
● Maintain accounting software and ensure data accuracy
● Suggest improvements in financial processes and systems
● Support automation and efficiency initiatives where possible
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting
● 2–4 years of relevant experience (preferred)
● Strong understanding of GST, income tax, and accounting principles
● Experience in preparing financial statements (Balance Sheet & P&L)
● Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, or similar)
Good Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation
● High attention to detail and accuracy
● Strong follow-up and communication skills
