📄 Finance Controller – Job Description

Location: On-site – New Delhi

Job Purpose

To lead and streamline the company’s accounts, finance, and compliance functions. The role is focused on ensuring real-time accuracy of financial records, adherence to applicable accounting standards and tax laws, and maintaining audit readiness at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 2–4 data entry operators, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely in Tally.

• Review and verify all bills and invoices to ensure proper documentation and entry.

• Reconcile bank statements and key ledger accounts regularly.

• Prepare and review working for GST and TDS filings.

• Collaborate with the Virtual CFO (VCFO) team to implement required compliance measures and align with applicable accounting standards.

• Ensure timely monthly closure of books and accurate filing of GST, TDS, and labor law returns.

• Actively support and participate in internal and statutory audits, ensuring readiness and efficiency.

• Assist in preparation of MIS reports and other financial analysis as required.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com

• CA Inter (preferred)

• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting and compliance

• Strong understanding of Indian taxation laws, particularly GST and TDS

• Proficient in Tally accounting software

• Excellent attention to detail, compliance orientation, and ability to work under timelines

• Smooth execution of internal/statutory audits and clear MIS reporting
