Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Monitor and reconcile the inward and outward movement of finished goods, raw materials, packaging materials, and other inventories.

• Stock Control: Ensure inventory levels remain within approved limits; proactively report shortages, excess stock, or slow-moving items to management.

• Accounting & Data Entry: Ensure all inventory and accounting entries are recorded accurately and strictly on time.

• Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate seamlessly with Data Entry Operators (DEOs), warehouse staff, and other team members to collect, verify, and validate operational data.

• Reconciliation & Compliance: Ensure purchase and accounting records are correctly reflected and reconcile them with GST records (GSTR) wherever applicable.

• Auditing: Conduct periodic physical stock verification and cycle counts; investigate inventory variances and implement timely corrective actions.

• Process Improvement: Analyze inventory reports, identify discrepancies, and recommend actionable process improvements.

• Reporting: Prepare timely MIS reports and support management with comprehensive inventory and cost analysis.

• Internal Controls: Ensure strict adherence to company processes, documentation standards, and internal financial controls.

  Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: B.Com/M.Com / CMA (Inter/Final) or an equivalent qualification.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities combined with excellent dataorganization skills.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/ HLOOKUP, and Data Analysis). Prior experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.

• Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively across departments (DEOs, warehouse staff, etc.).

• Work Ethic: Detail-oriented, highly disciplined, and proactive in following up to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Additional Advantages: Familiarity with GST reconciliations, inventory accounting, and proficiency in using AI tools will be considered a significant advantage.

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience.
