Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Cost & Management Accountant to join our finance team. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and implementing cost-reduction strategies within our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

Product Costing & Budgeting:

Develop and manage product costing models, standard costing systems, and Bill of Materials (BOM).

Prepare annual plant operational budgets and conduct monthly budget vs. actual variance analysis.

Inventory & Stock Control:

Oversee physical stock verification and monthly inventory valuation (Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods).

Analyze material consumption, scrap/wastage, and yield variances across production units.

Cost Optimization & Profitability Analysis:

Identify cost-saving opportunities across shop-floor production, labor, and logistics.

Prepare product-wise, customer-wise, and division-wise profitability analysis reports.

MIS & Management Reporting:

Prepare monthly MIS reports including Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), gross margin analysis, and overhead allocations.

Provide key cost data and support to senior management for strategic pricing decisions.

ERP & Compliance:

Ensure accurate cost-center master data setup and integration within the ERP system (SAP/Tally/Custom ERP).

Coordinate with internal and external cost auditors to ensure statutory compliance.

Required Candidate Profile

Education: B.Com / M.Com with CMA (ICWA) Inter/Final or CA Inter.

Experience: 4–5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing plant environment.

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Costing Models, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (SAP CO module, Tally, or Microsoft Dynamics).

Deep understanding of Standard Costing, Variance Analysis, and Overhead Absorption methods.

Key Traits: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good commercial acumen.
