The Collection Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end collections for payday loan customers, ensuring timely recovery, reducing delinquency, and maintaining compliance with company policies and RBI guidelines. The role involves team handling, strategy implementation, and performance monitoring.
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets for payday loan portfolios
Handle early-stage, mid-stage, and late-stage delinquency buckets
Ensure timely follow-up through calls, messages, field visits, and digital channels
Monitor repayment behavior and take corrective actions
Lead, train, and motivate collection executives and field agents
Assign cases and territories to collection staff
Monitor agent productivity, call quality, and recovery performance
Conduct regular review meetings and coaching sessions
Develop and implement effective collection strategies for payday loans
Analyze delinquency trends, bounce cases, and roll-back percentages
Work closely with credit, risk, and customer service teams
Improve recovery rates while maintaining customer experience
Ensure collection practices follow RBI guidelines and company SOPs
Avoid aggressive or unethical recovery practices
Handle customer escalations and complaints professionally
Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness
Prepare daily MIS, recovery reports, and performance dashboards
Track PTP (Promise to Pay), roll rates, and resolution status
Share insights with senior management for process improvement
Strong knowledge of payday loan / short-term loan collections
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience in tele-collection and field collection
Good understanding of RBI compliance and fair practices code
Ability to manage pressure and meet tight deadlines
Proficient in MS Excel and collection systems/CRM
Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred)
Experience in NBFC, Fintech, Digital Lending, or Microfinance
Knowledge of digital payment follow-ups (UPI, auto-debit, NACH)
