Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Executive with 2–3 years of hospital billing experience. The candidate must have hands-on knowledge of Inpatient (IP) Billing and Outpatient (OP) Billing processes. Experience in a hospital setting is mandatory. The role involves accurate bill generation, insurance coordination, payment collection, and ensuring compliance with hospital billing policies.
Key Responsibilities
Handle IP and OP billing processes efficiently and accurately.
Generate patient bills for consultations, procedures, diagnostics, pharmacy, and inpatient services.
Verify patient demographics, treatment details, insurance information, and billing records.
Process cash, card, UPI, and insurance payments and maintain records.
Coordinate with insurance/TPA teams for pre-authorizations, claim submissions, and billing clarifications.
Reconcile daily billing transactions and prepare billing reports.
Resolve billing discrepancies and patient queries in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies, insurance guidelines, and statutory requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
Coordinate with clinical, pharmacy, laboratory, and accounts departments for smooth billing operations.
Assist in month-end billing closures and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.
2–3 years of experience in hospital billing is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of IP Billing and OP Billing procedures.
Experience working with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and billing software.
Familiarity with insurance/TPA billing processes.
Good understanding of medical terminology and hospital billing workflows.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
