📌 Overview
An Auditor Executive in a car dealership is responsible for auditing sales, service, inventory, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy, prevent revenue leakage, and maintain compliance. The role plays a key part in monitoring dealership operations and improving internal controls.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Audit (Showroom)
Verify vehicle booking, billing, and delivery processes
Check pricing, discounts, schemes, and exchange offers
Ensure proper documentation (KYC, invoices, delivery notes)
Identify revenue leakage or irregularities
2. Service & Workshop Audit
Audit job cards, service invoices, and labor charges
Verify spare parts usage vs billing
Check warranty claims and free service records
Ensure proper closure of job cards
3. Inventory & Stock Audit
Conduct physical verification of vehicles, spare parts, and accessories
Monitor stock movement and reconcile with system records
Identify shortages, damages, or pilferage
Ensure proper storage and stock handling
4. Financial & Cash Audit
Verify daily cash collections and bank deposits
Audit petty cash and expense claims
Cross-check receipts, invoices, and ledger entries
5. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with GST, taxation, and company policies
Verify RTO documentation and vehicle registration records
Maintain audit documentation and working papers
6. Vendor & Procurement Audit
Review purchase orders, GRNs, and supplier invoices
Verify payments to vendors and detect discrepancies
7. Reporting & Process Improvement
Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations
Highlight risks and suggest corrective actions
Follow up on audit observations and closures
🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance)
Experience:
1–4 years in audit, preferably in automobile dealership or retail audit
Skills:
Knowledge of dealership operations (sales, service, inventory)
Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles
Knowledge of GST, billing, and compliance
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/DMS systems
High attention to detail and analytical skills
Good communication and reporting ability
