Audit / Account Assistant

We are looking for a Junior Audit Assistant to join our team at T.D.M. Raja & Company Chartered Accountants.The role is an entry level position offering training in managing financial accounting reports of organizations, financial statements, accounting reports and ensuring compliance under Statutory regulations.Key Responsibilities and scope of Training OfferedVouching (verifying documentary evidence for transactions) and verification of assets and liabilitiesPreparation of audit working papers and checklistsCompliance with Accounting Standards (AS) and Ind-AS, GST, Income Tax Act etc.Preparing and filing Income Tax returns for individuals, firms, and corporates.Preparing data for GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, and 9) and performing GST reconciliations.Preparing data for TDS returnsBookkeeping and maintaining books of accounts for small to medium-sized clients.Reconciling bank statements, ledger accounts, and inter-branch transactions.Assisting in the preparation of draft Financial Statements (Balance Sheets, P&L accounts).Drafting basic legal letters, audit queries, and management representation letters.Working with accounting packages Tally Erp, Tally Prime, Busy accounting software, Zoho and training in Excel(focused on financial report preparations)Job RequirementsMinimum qualification preferred to be graduate degree in Commerce/FinanceExperience not a necessary criteria. Applicants must have basic knowledge about accounting and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic computer operations in excel, word, power pointOther DetailsIt is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with Freshers.
