We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Audit & Accounts Assistant to support our accounting and audit functions. The role involves maintaining financial records, assisting in audits, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of transactions
Pass journal entries and manage ledgers
Perform bank, vendor, and customer reconciliations
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
Audit Support
Assist in statutory, internal, and tax audits
Prepare schedules, working papers, and audit documentation
Verify invoices, vouchers, and supporting records
Coordinate with auditors and provide required information
Compliance & Taxation
Support GST return preparation and reconciliation
Assist in TDS computation, deduction, and return filing
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain proper records and audit trails
Prepare MIS reports and financial summaries
Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
Working knowledge in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)
Familiarity with accounting software (Tally / SAP / Busy)
