Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Inventory Audit & Management:
Perform regular, surprise, and year-end physical stock verifications of precious metals and gems.
Verify metal purity, weight, hallmarking, and stone details.
Reconcile physical stock with ERP/software system records to identify shortages, excesses, or damage.
Monitor the inward and outward movement of raw materials and finished goods.
Operational & Financial Auditing:
Review procurement, manufacturing, sales, and billing documentation to ensure accuracy.
Analyze manufacturing processes, including material flow, scrap generation, yield, and wastage.
Audit cash handling procedures and high-value transactions.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
Ensure adherence to legal standards, including BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) for hallmarking, GST, and customs duties.
Monitor adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and KYC (Know Your Customer) norms for high-value sales.
Identify internal control gaps and recommend improvements to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5+ years in internal audit, preferably with experience in inventory audits within the jewelry, gems, or manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).
Knowledge: Understanding of jewelry valuation, metal purity, and auditing standards.
Attributes: High level of integrity, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to travel.
