About your team The GCH team strengthen our focus on being a cost-effective organization and act as a catalyst for efficiency, effectiveness and continuous improvement. They focus on increasing cost transparency, identifying optimisation opportunities whilst leveraging technology and data strategy to drive simplification. About your role Playing a vital role in driving cost efficiency, you’ll partner with the Cost Head and other GCH colleagues to shine a light on your Cost area, continuously questioning and finding ways to simplify, optimise and increase transparency. As part of our team, you’ll learn and grow every day. You’ll develop speciliast knowledge of your Cost area and will contribute to the implementation of best practice, gaining the skills and capability to: Responsibility of end-to-end cost accrual & analysis along with flash reporting Responsible for the execution of other accounting functions, including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis for month-end reporting Create engaging and informative monthly and ad-hoc analysis, analyzing movements with the Cost Head from both a Controlling and Business Finance perspective Support month end process by investigating variance with budget/forecast and provide thoughtful actions and comments to drive business decisions basis vendor analysis. Understand and compile stakeholder requests and provide feasible solutions Undertake monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and lead the overall month end close process Collaborate with senior stakeholders (including LEC, Group Control & Business Finance teams) acting as subject matter expert for your Cost area and positively representing GCH Get involved in an exciting range of FIL-wide projects or tasks relating to your Cost area Maintain a high level of risk awareness and develop a sound control environment to mitigate risk About you Strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting, Reporting, and Reconciliations Experience in Data Analytics, Controllership, and Business Finance Sound analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation skills Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration Ability to work both independently and within a team Strong planning, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills Demonstrated learning agility, adaptability, and speed of execution Consistent focus on quality, accuracy, and results Feel rewarded For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
