Accounts Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Manager for our Steel Yard who has a strong background in Accounting & Finance along with Operations Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire yard operations, accounts, team, and coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Finance:

- Manage day-to-day accounting, billing, invoicing, GST, TDS

- Maintain books of accounts - Tally / Excel

- Handle purchase & sales reconciliation, stock valuation

- Prepare MIS reports, profit & loss, cash flow

- Coordinate with CA for audit & compliance

2. Operations & Yard Management:

- Manage complete Steel Yard operations - inward, outward, stock, loading/unloading

- Maintain accurate stock inventory - TMT, Angles, Channels, Plates etc

- Ensure material quality check and proper storage

- Optimize yard space and manpower utilization

3. Team Management:

- Lead and manage yard staff, accountants, labour, security team

- Assign work, do attendance, handle discipline

- Training and motivating the team for daily targets

4. Vendor & Supplier Coordination:

- Coordinate with steel plants, traders, transporters

- Negotiate rates, follow up for timely delivery

- Manage payment follow-ups and ledger reconciliation

5. Customer Management:

- Handle customer orders, quotations, delivery scheduling

- Resolve customer complaints regarding quality, quantity, delivery

- Maintain good relationship for repeat business

Requirements:

- Graduate / MBA / M.Com / B.Com with strong accounting knowledge

- 5+ years experience in Steel / Iron / Building Material / Trading industry - MUST

- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, MS Excel, Stock Management

- Excellent managerial, leadership and communication skills

- Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple tasks

- Knowledge of steel products and yard operations is preferred
