Job Summary
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the company's accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, overseeing financial reporting, taxation, audits, banking activities, and supporting project accounting. The role requires strong leadership, analytical abilities, and experience in managing accounts within the EPC, infrastructure, manufacturing, or renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable accounting principles.
Review journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and trial balances.
Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, and other statutory returns.
Handle GST reconciliations, assessments, notices, and departmental queries.
Ensure compliance with Companies Act and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with consultants for tax planning and statutory matters.
Audit & Financial Reporting
Coordinate statutory, internal, tax, and cost audits.
Prepare audit schedules and resolve audit observations.
Maintain statutory records and financial documentation.
Present periodic MIS reports to management.
Banking & Treasury
Manage banking relationships and fund utilization.
Monitor working capital requirements.
Handle LC, BG, project financing documentation, and banking transactions.
Ensure timely vendor and employee payments.
Budgeting & MIS
Assist in annual budgeting and financial forecasting.
Analyze budget vs. actual performance.
Prepare management reports on profitability, project costs, and financial performance.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial controls.
Project Accounting
Monitor project-wise accounting and cost allocation.
Track project revenues, expenses, WIP, and profitability.
Coordinate with project teams for billing and revenue recognition.
Ensure proper accounting for EPC contracts.
Team Management
Lead and mentor the accounts team.
Allocate responsibilities and review team performance.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting processes.
Ensure continuous process improvement and compliance.
Required Qualifications
Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
Alternatively, M. Com/MBA (Finance) with strong relevant experience.
Experience
7–12 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
Minimum 3 years in a managerial role.
Experience in Solar EPC, EPC, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, or Construction industry preferred.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge of project accounting and financial reporting.
Familiarity with banking operations including BG, LC, and project finance.
