Job Title: Accounts Head / Accounts Manager
Organization: ISKCON Whitefield (Non-Profit Religious Organization)
Location: Whitefield, Bengaluru
ISKCON Whitefield is a full-fledged temple and a registered non-profit organization. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Head / Accounts Manager who will independently manage the entire accounts and finance function of the temple. The person will lead a small accounts team (2–3 members) and will be responsible for end-to-end financial management, compliance, and reporting.
1. Overall Accounts Management
End-to-end management of temple accounts
Supervision and guidance of a 2–3 member accounts team
Ensuring accuracy, discipline, and compliance in all financial records
2. Income & Expense Accounting
Recording and monitoring all income:
Donations
Events
Programs
Other temple-related receipts
Recording and controlling all expenses:
Vendor payments
Salaries
Utilities
Operational and capital expenses
Expense classification and cost tracking
3. Books of Accounts & Financial Statements
Maintaining books of accounts on Tally
Preparation of:
Profit & Loss statement
Balance Sheet
Income & Expenditure statement
Cash flow statements
Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing
4. Banking & Reconciliation
Daily monitoring of bank transactions
Bank reconciliation statements
Handling multiple bank accounts
Coordination with banks when required
5. Statutory Compliance
GST:
Filing returns
Reconciliation
Compliance tracking
TDS:
Deduction
Filing returns
Form 16 / 16A
Coordination with auditors and consultants
Support during audits (internal and statutory)
6. Excel & Reporting
Strong working knowledge of Excel
Use of Excel for:
Financial analysis
Reconciliation
MIS reports
Data tracking and summaries
Preparing management-level reports for leadership review
7. Process & Control
Setting up and improving accounting processes
Ensuring internal controls and approval workflows
Maintaining proper documentation and audit trails
Prior experience as an Accounts Manager / Accounts Head
Hands-on experience with:
Tally
GST & TDS
Bank reconciliation
Financial statements
Strong Excel skills
Experience managing a small accounts team
Experience in non-profit / trust / religious organization is preferred (not mandatory)
High integrity and responsibility
