Job Summary
We are looking for a Finance & Accounts Manager with a solid background in NBFC and finance to lead our financial management and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintain financial integrity, and support strategic business decisions through accurate financial reporting and analysis. This role is vital in establishing financial controls and processes within a fast-evolving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting:
Manage full-spectrum accounting operations including ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
Prepare accurate financial statements, MIS reports, and financial analyses for management.
Monitor and forecast cash flows, budgets, and financial planning aligned with business goals.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure adherence to RBI regulations, NBFC guidelines, GST, and other statutory requirements specific to NBFCs.
Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities.
Timely submission of regulatory filings and compliance reports.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Supervise billing, collections, payments, and vendor account management.
Implement credit control processes to minimize overdue receivables.
Financial Controls & Process Optimization:
Develop and enforce internal financial controls, policies, and SOPs to mitigate risks.
Drive improvements and automation in finance and accounting processes.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate financial strategies into business operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification like CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in finance and accounts roles, with proven background in NBFC or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of NBFC regulatory frameworks, accounting standards, and tax laws.
Expertise in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP) and Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
