Job Title: Accountant – Bakery Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Accountant for our Cake & Bakery Manufacturing Company in Noida. The candidate must have practical experience in accounting operations in a manufacturing or bakery company and strong working knowledge of BUSY Accounting Software.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain daily accounting entries in BUSY Accounting Software.

• Handle purchase, sales, payment, receipt, journal, contra, and debit/credit note entries.

• Maintain cash book, bank book, general ledger, and party-wise accounts.

• Verify purchase invoices, sales bills, expense vouchers, and payment records.

• Perform bank reconciliation and vendor/customer ledger reconciliation.

2. Bakery Manufacturing Accounting

• Maintain records of raw materials such as flour, sugar, cream, butter, chocolate, and other ingredients.

• Track packaging materials, finished goods, stock transfers, damaged products, and wastage.

• Coordinate with Purchase, Store, Production, Dispatch, and Sales departments.

• Monitor manufacturing expenses, including raw materials, labour, electricity, gas, and packaging.

• Assist in product costing and calculation of manufacturing costs.

• Reconcile physical stock with book stock and investigate discrepancies.

• Maintain records of production consumption, returns, expired goods, and stock adjustments.

3. BUSY Accounting Software

• Maintain company masters, ledgers, stock items, units, and inventory records.

• Enter purchase and sales invoices with correct GST details.

• Generate Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, stock reports, and outstanding reports.

• Check accounting entries and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain accounting data backups and ensure proper record keeping.

4. Payments & Receivables

• Prepare vendor payment schedules and track outstanding payments.

• Monitor customer, distributor, and franchisee outstanding balances, wherever applicable.

• Maintain petty cash and .

• Verify bank transactions, receipts, and payment vouchers.

• Follow up on overdue payments and report discrepancies to management.

5. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and purchase reports.

• Prepare outstanding, expense, stock valuation, and cash-flow reports.

• Assist in monthly closing and profitability analysis.

• Submit timely accounting reports to management.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.

• 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, FMCG, or other manufacturing company preferred.

• Mandatory practical knowledge of BUSY Accounting Software.

• Good knowledge of inventory accounting, bank reconciliation.

• Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting will be an added advantage.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

1. Accurate and timely accounting entries in BUSY.

2. Proper stock and inventory reconciliation.

3. Timely preparation of records and reports.

4. Accurate vendor and customer ledger reconciliation.

5. Regular reporting of expenses, outstanding balances, and stock discrepancies.

6. Proper tracking of production costs and wastage.

7. Timely completion of monthly accounts and MIS reports.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with practical experience in a cake factory, bakery manufacturing unit, confectionery, or food processing company will be preferred. The candidate should understand accounting from raw material purchase to production, finished goods, sales, and stock reconciliation.
