Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain accurate books of accounts (sales, purchases, receipts, payments)
Handle journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliation
Monitor cash flow and daily cash/bank transactions
2. Dealership Accounting
Record vehicle sales, including retail, wholesale, and exchange transactions
Account for RTO charges, insurance, extended warranties, and accessories
Reconcile OEM (manufacturer) accounts and incentives/claims
3. Receivables & Payables
Manage customer outstanding and follow up for payments
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
Reconcile supplier and customer accounts regularly
4. GST & Tax Compliance
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
Ensure proper input tax credit reconciliation
Handle TDS calculations, payments, and returns
5. Banking & Cash Handling
Monitor daily collections (cash, cheque, online payments)
Perform bank reconciliations
Ensure proper control over cash handling and deposits
6. Financial Reporting
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Prepare MIS reports for management (sales performance, expenses, profitability)
Support budgeting and variance analysis
7. Inventory & Cost Control
Coordinate with inventory team for stock verification
Track vehicle stock, spare parts, and accessories valuation
Monitor cost control and expense tracking
8. Audit & Compliance
Assist in internal and statutory audits
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Maintain proper documentation for all transactions
9. Team Coordination
Coordinate with sales, service, and HR departments
Supervise junior accounting staff (if applicable)
