Accounts Head

Roles & Responsibilities:

Daily Activities:

• Supervise and manage daily accounting transactions (AP, AR, GL, bank transactions, etc.).

• Ensure proper recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards.

• Monitor cash flow and fund management to ensure smooth operations.

• Coordinate with banks for routine banking activities.

• Verify invoices, payments, and expenses for accuracy and authorization.

• Ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.

• Maintain records of taxation (GST, TDS, etc.) and ensure timely payments.

• Address any accounting discrepancies or issues immediately.

Weekly Activities:

• Review and reconcile bank statements.

• Monitor outstanding payments and collections, ensuring follow-ups.

• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and financial reports.

• Coordinate with internal departments for budget and expense tracking.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial policies.

Quarterly Activities:

• Prepare and review quarterly financial statements and reports.

• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with financial policies.

• Reconcile accounts and ensure proper documentation for audits.

• Review tax filings (GST, TDS, etc.) and submit necessary reports.

• Provide financial analysis to support decision-making.

Half-Yearly Activities:

• Assist in the preparation of half-yearly financial statements.

• Conduct variance analysis of budget vs actuals.

• Participate in cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives.

• Review long-term financial projections and recommend improvements.

Yearly Activities:

• Lead the preparation and finalization of financial statements for audit.

• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with statutory audits.

• Ensure timely filing of Income Tax, GST, and other statutory returns.

• Develop annual budgets and financial plans for the company.

Conduct an in-depth financial review to assess profitability and cost control measures
