Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities / Role

• Maintain and manage the organization’s financial records accurately and up to date

• Prepare tax filings (direct / indirect taxes) and ensure compliance with all legal & regulatory requirements

• Analyze financial data & records to assist management in decision-making and financial planning

• Identify tax planning opportunities and advise on savings, deductions, incentives where applicable

• Reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, and ensure records are audit-ready

• Support in periodic audits, provide necessary documentation and schedules

• Ensure all statutory compliance (tax, accounting standards, regulatory) is met in a timely manner

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Proficiency in Tally for accounting & bookkeeping

• Strong command over Accounting principles and practices

• Good working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)

• Attention to detail and accuracy in numerical / financial work

• Good analytical skills; ability to interpret financial data

• Basic understanding of tax laws / regulations relevant to the business

• Ability to meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance / Accounting or related field

• 1 – 3 years’ experience in accounting / tax / compliance role
