We are looking for an accounts assistant with 1-3 years of experience and a degree in B.Com, CA Inter or MBA Finance.
Job Responsibilities (Key Responsibility Areas) :
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Recording day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software Tally.
Handling purchase, sales, receipt and payment entries.
Bank reconciliation and vendor reconciliation monthly.
Maintaining accounts payable and receivable.
Supporting month-end closing and preparation of MIS reports.
Supporting Internal Auditor
2. GST Compliance
Preparation & filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation.
Reconciliation of GST between Books vs GST Portal vs Supplier Invoices.
Handling Input Tax Credit (ITC) mismatch, RCM accounting & adjustments.
Preparing data for GST Annual Return (GSTR-9 & 9C).
3. TDS Compliance
Deduction and accounting of TDS on applicable payments (contract, rent,
professional etc.).
Preparation & filing of TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q).
Generating & issuing TDS certificates (Form 16 & 16A). Managing TDS payment within due date and rectifying defaults on TRACES.
4. Support Internal & External Audit
Preparing audit schedules, ledger scrutiny, and providing required supporting
documents.
Ensuring compliance with statutory norms and company policies.
Resolving audit queries and maintaining accurate audit documentation.
5. Documents & Coordination
Coordination with vendors & internal departments for invoice queries.
Maintaining supporting documentation and records for audits.
Assisting in statutory audits, internal audits and tax assessments.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS Act & accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Table).
Experience working on Tally Prime / ERP accounting software.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of Income Tax Basics (preferred).
Experience in vendor ledger reconciliation & accounts finalization support.
Willingness to learn and grow in taxation & accounts domain.
