Role Summary:
The Account Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring GST compliance, and assisting in financial reporting. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Invoice & Payment Processing
· Receive, verify, and process invoices and expense reports
· Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
· Assist in processing vendor payments
2. Record Keeping
· Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers and journals
· Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and updated
3. Account Reconciliation
· Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts
· Identify and resolve discrepancies
4. GST Compliance & Reporting
· Assist in GST data preparation and verification
· Check GSTR-2B and GSTR-3B reports
· Support timely GST filing and compliance
5. Data Entry
· Perform accurate and timely data entry in accounting systems
· Maintain organized digital and physical records
6. Accounts Payable & Receivable
· Process supplier invoices and payments
· Generate customer invoices and follow up on receivables
7. Financial & Administrative Support
· Assist in payroll processing and basic tax work
· Prepare reports as required by management
· Manage petty cash and routine office accounting tasks
Required Skills:
· Strong mathematical and analytical ability
· Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
· Good knowledge of GST and basic taxation
· Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
· Good communication and organizational skills
· High attention to detail and confidentiality
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
· 1–2 years of experience in accounting or similar role (preferred)
Working Conditions:

· Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential financial data
