Department: Accounts / Finance
Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, assisting in billing, payments, and ensuring accuracy in accounts and compliance with company policies.
Maintain books of accounts, vouchers, and supporting documents
Assist in preparation of invoices, bills, and receipts
Record daily transactions in accounting software (Tally / ERP / Excel)
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank entries and assist in bank reconciliation statements
Maintain cash book and petty cash records
Assist in GST-related work (data preparation, filing support)
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Coordinate with vendors and customers for payment follow-ups
Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records
Assist auditors during internal and external audits
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
Basic knowledge of accounting principles
Working knowledge of Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software
Familiarity with GST and statutory compliance (preferred)
Good numerical and analytical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
