The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in the preparation of reports in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Maintain books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and vouchers
Handle accounts payable and receivable
Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding dues
Assist in bank reconciliation statements
Record and verify expenses and bills
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
Assist in preparation of financial statements and MIS reports
Handle GST/TDS entries and basic compliance (if applicable)
Coordinate with auditors and provide required documents
Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounts records
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Tally / ERP / accounting software
Good working knowledge of MS Excel
Attention to detail and accuracy
Basic understanding of taxation (GST, TDS) preferred
Good communication and coordination skills
