We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Assistant to support the finance department with daily accounting tasks, including data entry, financial record keeping, invoice processing, and reconciliation of accounts. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and a willingness to learn and grow in a finance-focused role.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
Enter daily financial transactions into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP)
Process vendor invoices, payments, and staff reimbursements
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts
Maintain and organize financial documents and records
Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal teams regarding payment status and financial transactions
Assist in preparing tax filings and compliance documentation
Perform other administrative and clerical tasks as needed in the finance department
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or pursuing a degree)
1–2 years of experience in a similar role preferred (internships count)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
