Job Description

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports to: Founders

About the Role
We are a bootstrapped e-commerce and quick-commerce business selling on Amazon, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, and our own Special You brand. We need a finance professional to own the company’s financial health and guide key decisions. This is not a bookkeeping role: our accountant handles day-to-day accounts, and you will lead finance above that.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise founders on pricing, margins, inventory investment, ad spend, and expansion.

  • Build budgets, forecasts, and scenario models, and track actuals against them.

  • Analyze profitability by SKU, brand, and sales channel.

  • Prepare and review monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

  • Track KPIs such as gross margin, contribution margin, CAC, ROAS, inventory turnover, and cash runway.

  • Maintain a rolling cash flow forecast and monitor marketplace payouts, receivables, and payables.

  • Review the accountant’s work and ensure marketplace settlements are reconciled correctly.

  • Coordinate GST, TDS, income tax, and other filings with the accountant and external CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting (MBA Finance, CA, or CFA is a plus).

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or business finance.

  • Strong skills in financial modelling, Excel, and Google Sheets, plus Tally or Zoho Books.

  • Good knowledge of Indian taxation, including GST and TDS.

  • Ability to explain numbers simply to non-finance people.

Preferred

  • Experience in e-commerce, D2C, retail, or quick-commerce.

  • Familiarity with marketplace settlements on Amazon, Blinkit, Zepto, or Instamart.

  • Startup or bootstrapped experience, and exposure to fundraising or investor reporting.
