Role Overview
The Senior Accounts & Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health by managing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. The role requires strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
2. Accounting Operations
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial transactions.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
Track budget performance and recommend corrective actions.
Provide variance analysis and financial projections.
4. Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax laws, and regulatory standards.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and assessments.
Implement and maintain internal financial controls and risk management processes.
5. Taxation
Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance (GST, Income Tax, etc.).
Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to applicable laws.
Liaise with tax consultants and authorities as required.
6. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
7. Strategic Support
Support senior management in financial planning and strategy formulation.
Evaluate investment opportunities, cost optimization, and profitability.
Provide financial insights for business expansion and growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (CA / CPA / MBA Finance preferred).
Minimum 4–12 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
