Job Description
The Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting
activities, reconciliations, vendor and customer accounts, inventory-related accounting,
statutory compliance support and MIS reporting. The role will involve close coordination
with the warehouse, stores, procurement, sales, e-commerce and finance teams to
ensure accurate and timely financial records.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Day-to-Day Accounting
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses and journal entries in
the accounting system.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents before accounting.
• Ensure correct accounting of expenses, purchases and sales.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
B. Bank & Cash Reconciliation
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile cash collections from stores and delivery operations.
• Verify deposits against cash collection records.
• Identify and resolve unreconciled transactions.
• Maintain daily/weekly cash and bank position.
C. Vendor & Purchase Accounting
• Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, GRNs and supporting documents.
• Record purchase invoices accurately with appropriate GST classification.
• Maintain vendor ledgers and ageing.
• Prepare vendor outstanding reports.
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for invoice/GRN
discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing vendor payment schedules.
D. Sales & Receivables
• Record sales from retail stores, e-commerce platforms, online orders and
other sales channels.
• Reconcile sales with payment gateway, marketplace and bank settlements.
• Maintain customer receivables and ageing reports.
• Track outstanding amounts and coordinate for timely collection.
• Investigate differences between sales reports, settlement reports and books.
E. Inventory & Warehouse Reconciliation
• Assist in reconciliation of purchase, stock and sales data.
• Coordinate with warehouse and stores for stock reconciliation.
• Verify stock movement between warehouse, stores and other locations.
• Identify stock variances and coordinate for resolution.
• Assist in monthly physical stock verification.
• Ensure inventory-related transactions are properly recorded in accounts.
F. GST & TDS Compliance
• Assist in preparation of GST workings and reconciliations.
• Verify GSTIN, HSN/SAC, taxable value and GST rates on purchase and sales
invoices.
• Assist in reconciliation of purchase data with GSTR-2B.
• Assist in preparation of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B workings.
• Assist in TDS calculation, deduction and reconciliation.
• Coordinate with external consultants for statutory filings and compliance.
G. MIS & Management Reporting
Prepare regular reports including:
• Daily/weekly sales report
• Purchase report
• Vendor outstanding
• Customer receivables
• Bank and cash position
• Expense report
• Inventory reconciliation
• Payment gateway/e-commerce reconciliation
• Monthly P&L support.
• Other financial MIS as required by management
H. Audit & Documentation
• Assist in statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Provide ledgers, invoices, reconciliations and supporting documents to auditors.
• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
• Ensure timely closure of audit queries.
3. Required Qualifications
• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Working knowledge of Tally/ERP/accounting software.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Experience in reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
4. Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:
