Job Description

  • An accounts admin is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's financial records and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. Key duties include processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, managing invoices and receipts, and assisting with financial reporting, payroll, and tax preparations. They must be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient with accounting software.

  • Accounts payable/receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and ensure timely payments to vendors and from clients.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and contracts.
  • Bank reconciliation: Reconcile all bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Financial reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, cash flow reports, and other financial summaries.
  • Payroll and tax: Support payroll processing and assist with the preparation and submission of tax documents.
  • Auditing: Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Client/vendor communication: Communicate with clients and vendors regarding account status, payments, and billing.
  • Process improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to financial workflows and procedures.

  • Organizational skills: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage and maintain accurate records.
  • Technical proficiency: Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) is essential.
