Job Summary:

An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, preparing reports, and providing accurate financial information to support business decision-making. This role involves analyzing financial data, maintaining accurate ledgers, and assisting with audits, budgeting, and tax preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records and statements.

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.

• Prepare budgets and forecasts in coordination with management.

• Assist with internal and external audits.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

• Prepare and file tax returns and assist with tax planning.

• Monitor and manage cash flow and financial transactions.

• Analyze financial performance and present insights to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or equivalent professional certification.

• Experience in industry-specific accounting (e.g., non-profit, manufacturing, etc.).

• Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
