The Accountant will support the Accounts and Finance function by handling day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, cost tracking, and coordination with internal departments. The role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records in a manufacturing environment.
Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, vouchers, and ledgers
Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle accounts payable and receivable functions
Monitor customer outstanding, ageing reports, and follow-ups
Assist in tracking raw material consumption, production costs, and inventory valuation
Coordinate with stores and production departments for stock reconciliation
Support job costing, process costing, and variance analysis
Assist in GST compliance including returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
Coordinate for TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory filings
Support audits (internal, statutory, GST) and provide required data
Assist in payroll processing and verification of attendance and leave data
Coordinate with HR for salary sheets, deductions, and compliance
Ensure timely salary disbursement and statutory payments
Prepare financial MIS, expense reports, and management summaries
Maintain accurate records in ERP/accounting software
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Coordinate with sales, purchase, production, and logistics teams
Ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls
Assist in bank reconciliation, cash flow monitoring, and fund management
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation
Understanding of manufacturing and inventory accounting
Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
B.Com / M.Com / CA-Inter / CMA-Inter (preferred)
3–6 years of experience in accounts, preferably in plastic manufacturing or similar industry
