Job Description: Account Executive
Position Summary
The Account Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The role includes bookkeeping, invoicing, GST/TDS compliance, bank reconciliation, and coordination with internal departments and auditors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
Maintain ledgers in accounting software (Tally / ERP).
Prepare debit/credit notes and maintain supporting documentation.
2. Billing & Invoicing
Prepare customer invoices and dispatch details.
Match purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
Follow up for payments and maintain receivables records.
3. Bank & Cash Management
Perform daily bank reconciliation.
Monitor cash book and petty cash expenses.
4. GST / TDS / Statutory Compliance
Prepare and upload GST data (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
Manage TDS calculation, deduction, and challan payment.
Coordinate with auditors for monthly/annual filings.
5. Vendor & Customer Coordination
Resolve invoice mismatches, payment queries, and rate issues.
Follow up with vendors for statements and confirmations.
6. Reporting
Prepare monthly P&L summary, outstanding report, stock report, and expense statement for management.
Assist in financial audits and year-end closing.
Skills & Qualifications
B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent.
2–5 years’ experience in accounting (Tally preferred).
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory rules.
Good Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic MIS).
Strong communication and attention to detail.
