An accountant is a professional responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting financial transactions for individuals, businesses, or organizations. Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
