Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team at at Ultra Tape Co.. The role involves managing financial transactions of the organization, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position offers ₹12,000 - ₹20,000 and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Return Filing – Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and other applicable returns) accurately and on time.

• GST Compliance – Ensure compliance with GST laws, rules, and regulations, and stay updated with changes in GST provisions.

• Input Tax Credit (ITC) Management – Verify, reconcile, and claim eligible Input Tax Credit while resolving mismatches.

• GST Reconciliation – Reconcile GST returns with books of accounts, purchase records, sales records, and GST portal data.

• Invoice Verification – Review sales and purchase invoices to ensure GST compliance and correct tax classification.

• Tax Payment Management – Calculate GST liabilities and ensure timely payment of taxes to avoid interest and penalties.

• E-Invoicing & E-Way Bills – Generate and monitor e-invoices and e-way bills as per statutory requirements.

• Vendor & Customer GST Reconciliation – Coordinate with vendors and customers to resolve GST discrepancies and reconcile transactions.

• Record Maintenance – Maintain accurate GST-related documentation, invoices, tax records, and supporting documents for audits.

• GST Audit Support – Assist during GST audits, assessments, departmental notices, and provide required documentation.

• Financial Reporting – Prepare GST-related reports and provide management with insights on tax liabilities and compliance status.

• Liaison with Tax Authorities – Respond to GST notices, queries, and communications from tax authorities.

• Accounting Entries – Record GST-related accounting entries and ensure proper ledger maintenance.

• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve GST compliance processes and strengthen internal controls.

• Cross-Functional Coordination – Work closely with finance, procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure accurate GST treatment of transactions.

Job Requirements:

A perfect candidate for this role should have a keen eye for numerical accuracy. The minimum qualification for this role is Graduate and 1 - 2 years of experience. Applicants must have knowledge about accounting and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
