Accountant

We are looking for an Accountant to join our team at at Town Grocer. The role involves managing financial transactions of the organization, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position offers ₹ 15,000 - ₹ 30,000 and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting

• Manage day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally Prime.

• Record purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal, and contra entries.

• Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.

• Maintain fixed asset and inventory records.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.

GST & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other GST returns.

• Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase registers and ensure ITC accuracy.

• Generate and manage e-Invoices and e-Way Bills.

• Prepare and file TDS returns and ensure timely tax payments.

• Handle PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliance.

• Coordinate with auditors and support statutory, GST, and internal audits.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in month-end and year-end book closing.

• Prepare Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and MIS reports.

• Analyse financial data and support management decision-making.

Technical Skills

• Tally Prime (Accounting, GST, Inventory, Financial Reporting)

• Microsoft Office

o MS Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF, SUMIFS, Charts)

o MS Word

o MS Outlook

o MS PowerPoint

• GST Portal

• E-Way Bill Portal

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), M.Com, MBA (Finance), or equivalent.

• 3–5 years of experience in Finance & Accounts.

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and statutory compliance.

• Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Office.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and lead accounting activities.
