Job Description – Senior Accountant (Factory Setup)
Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the complete accounting function of the factory unit, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting management with financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain complete books of accounts for the factory unit.
Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash.
Coordinating wit CA for finalization of accounts.
2. Factory Costing & Inventory Accounting
Maintain inventory accounting including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Monitor stock valuation and coordinate with stores and production departments.
Assist in preparation of product costing and cost analysis.
Handling costing, P& L and financial analysis of various clients.
3. Statutory Compliance
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Prepare and file GST returns and reconcile GST data with books.
Handle TDS deductions, payments, and return filings.
Coordinate with auditors and consultants for statutory matters.
4. Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations.
Prepare MIS reports for management review.
5. Payroll & Vendor Payments
Coordinate payroll accounting and statutory deductions such as PF, ESIC, and PT.
Manage vendor payments and maintain proper documentation.
Verify purchase invoices and coordinate with the purchase department.
6. Audit & Compliance
Assist in internal and external audits.
Maintain proper documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
