Job Title: Billing Executive

Job Summary

The Billing Executive will be responsible for preparing and managing customer invoices, processing debit and credit notes, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely billing in line with company policies. The role demands attention to detail, strong accounting knowledge, and effective coordination with internal departments and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and verify customer invoices based on sales orders, dispatches, and pricing agreements.

• Prepare and process credit notes and debit notes for price adjustments, returns, or other approved reasons.

• Maintain proper documentation for all billing, credit, and debit note transactions.

• Coordinate with the sales, dispatch, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies in invoices.

• Reconcile accounts receivable balances with customers regularly.

• Monitor outstanding payments and support the collection process.

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements in billing.

• Update and maintain billing data in ERP/accounting software.

• Prepare periodic MIS reports related to billing, receivables, and adjustments.

• Support audits by providing necessary documents and clarifications.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GST.

• Hands-on experience in preparing debit/credit notes.

• Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (SAP, Tally, or similar).

• Accuracy in data entry and documentation.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to handle pressure and meet billing deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (B.Com or equivalent).

• 2–4 years of experience in billing/accounts, preferably in a manufacturing company.

• Familiarity with GST rules and credit/debit note handling.
