Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial records, compliance, and reporting functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial statements, preparing tax returns, and supporting budgeting and auditing processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update accounting records and files

• Prepare and examine financial reports (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets)

• Reconcile bank statements and accounts

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely tax payments

• Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations

• Liaise with external auditors and facilitate audit processes

• Assist with payroll and employee reimbursement processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role (2+ years preferred)

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (e.g., TDS, GST)

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems)

• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• CA Inter or equivalent certification (preferred but not mandatory)

• Experience in handling audits and statutory compliance

• Knowledge of industry-specific financial practices (e.g., education, retail, manufacturing)
