About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Accountant with solid experience in the transport and logistics sector. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, GST compliance, and balance sheet preparation, while helping us adapt to new software and automated accounting tools.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Bookkeeping: Handle daily accounting, freight invoices, vendor bills, and driver/fleet expenses.

GST & Tax Compliance: File GST returns, manage RCM (Reverse Charge Mechanism) on freight, and handle e-Way bill reconciliations.

Financial Statements: Prepare accurate monthly trial balances, Profit & Loss statements, and final Balance Sheets.

Software Adoption: Quickly learn, test, and implement new accounting software and logistics tools to streamline operations.

Reconciliations: Perform routine bank, vendor, and customer account reconciliations.

Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of core accounting experience; prior work in a transport or logistics company is strongly preferred.

Skills: Strong grasp of GST rules (specifically for Goods Transport Agencies/RCM) and balance sheet finalization.

Tech-Mindset: Proficient in MS Excel/Tally, with a keen interest in learning new software and tools.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance or equivalent experience.
