Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented US Tax Preparer to join our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US federal and state tax laws, with hands-on experience in preparing individual and/or business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.). You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely tax filings while ensuring full compliance with IRS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review US federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities (e.g., Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).

• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and applicable state tax laws.

• Analyze financial records and documents to calculate taxable income and deductions.

• Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax documents and clarify information.

• Identify tax savings opportunities and provide tax planning guidance when needed.

• Keep current with changes in tax laws and regulations.

• Assist with IRS correspondence and audit support if required.

• Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in US tax preparation (individual and/or business returns).

• Strong knowledge of US tax codes, regulations, and forms.

• Experience using tax preparation software such as Drake, UltraTax, ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
