Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws, and supporting management with financial planning and decision-making. This role involves preparing financial statements, handling taxation, reconciling accounts, and monitoring cash flow to maintain the organization’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Record Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.

• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts regularly.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

• Manage client billing, track receivables, and follow up on overdue accounts.

3. Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and file GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.

• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.

• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.

4. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.

• Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions.

5. Payroll Processing

• Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate salary disbursements.

• Handle statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS) and submit returns on time.

6. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.

• Identify areas for cost reduction and process efficiency.
