Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

• Record purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

• Prepare and maintain bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.

• Prepare invoices and monitor outstanding receivables and payables.

• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

• Prepare financial reports, MIS reports, and account statements as required.

• Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance activities.

• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.

• Verify bills, invoices, expense claims, and supporting documents.

• Monitor employee expenses and reimbursements.

• Ensure timely payment of vendors and follow up on outstanding customer payments.

• Maintain proper records of fixed assets and company expenses.

• Identify accounting discrepancies and resolve them promptly.

• Support management with financial data and reports for decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Accounting principles and practices.

• Good understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian taxation.

• Hands-on experience with Tally Prime / accounting software.

• Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.

• Experience in bank and ledger reconciliation.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification.

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.

• Experience working with Indian statutory compliance will be preferred.

• It is a Full Time Accountant job for candidates with 3 - 5 years of experience.
