Job Description: Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a precise and reliable Accountant to oversee our daily financial accounting, compliance, and bookkeeping procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate ledger records, conducting bank reconciliations, managing tax compliance (GST, TDS), and preparing monthly financial summaries to ensure our financial health and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Accounting & Ledger Management

Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, bank entries, and journal vouchers.
Maintain and reconcile General Ledgers (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP).
Monitor cash flow, track pending client payments, and manage vendor payables according to credit terms.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and verify bank entries against statements.

2. Taxation & Compliance

Prepare data for monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and perform ITC (Input Tax Credit) reconciliations.
Deduct and deposit TDS on applicable vendor payments and assist in quarterly TDS return filing.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and local tax laws.
Organize and maintain financial records to support internal and external annual audits.

3. Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing

Perform month-end and year-end inventory and account balance reconciliations.
Assist in preparing monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and Balance Sheets.
Track operational expenses, analyze variances against budgets, and flag discrepancies.
