Job Description – Accountant (Client-Facing)

Location: Andheri, Mumbai

We are seeking a Client-Facing Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting and compliance for multiple SME clients. The role requires not just strong accounting knowledge but also the ability to interact directly with client stakeholders, understand their business, and deliver proactive financial support.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

Act as the primary accounting contact for assigned SME clients.

Participate with the team to understand financial reporting needs and timelines specific.

Provide proactive updates and ensure smooth communication between clients and team

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally/Zoho/QuickBooks or other ERP/accounting software.

Record and reconcile day-to-day financial transactions (AP, AR, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, payroll accounting).

Ensure proper documentation of vouchers, invoices, and supporting records.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

Assist in preparation of MIS reports and variance analysis.

Support CFO team in management reporting and decision support for clients.

Compliance & Taxation

Ensure timely filing of outsourced GST returns/ TDS/TCS compliance (

Assist with Income Tax return preparation and tax audits.

Support statutory audit, internal audit, and ROC filings as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.

CA Inter / Semi-qualified CA / CMA / MBA Finance / Experienced B.Com/M.Com preferred.

3–6 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably handling multiple clients or working in an outsourced accounting setup.

Working knowledge of:

Accounting Fundamentals, Schedule III requirements and presentations, Indian Accounting Standards.

GST, TDS, Income Tax, and MCA/ROC compliances.

Tally Prime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar software.

Good command over MS Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, reporting automation).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – ability to manage client relationships.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a multi-client, deadline-driven environment.
